Two sections that Melissa talks about is "Research for Inspiration" and "Research for Writing". When she talks about Research for Inspiration she means inspiring yourself through personal experience to create a great piece of writing. An example she uses explaing what creative method writer Juliet Williams, which is using the phone book to help create the characters and helping get a better understanding of each of the characters. No questions were asked in this section. In Research for Writing Melissa tells the reader of the passage to keep a notebook for observations, this can later help conduct your research. An example that Melissa uses is her preferred action of digging through a shoebox of memories. These memories contain details of events and inspire something to write. Even though there was not a question asked in the text, I believe a good question for this passage would be "how can we find inspiration for writing in our daily lives?"
Which one of these did you use most for your last project? -For my last project I used research for writing and research for learning.
Give an example of research you did for each of your genres.
For both genres, I used reliable sources and used outside resources such as my interview with Nadia Nixon, who actually works in the field.
