Personal Narrative Outline:
The place I am writing about is the Rockledge High parking lot. The parking lot was the place that I parked my car two years, my junior and senior year. I am writing about the parking lot because of the varies memories that I have there. All my friends were in the same lot and my best friend parked right behind me. The parking lot Is gigantic with the cars overflowing into the baseball field lot. The lot holds mostly upperclassmen and is placed behind the newest building of the school. The pitch-black tar is holding the heat of the afternoon sun and few spots of decorated parking spots add a hint of color to the uniformed spaces.

Things to consider:
When describing the setting of the parking lot there is enough detail. Using a setting like a parking lot can help me relay the idea of the place I’m trying to describe. The reader will know what a parking lot generally looks like. I establish myself as an authority to listen to by providing lots of detail and as the main character I place myself in the middle of the story and I am the one making the story move along. I can move the discussion of the place into a new and unique area by putting emphasis on other people that are included in the story. The attended audience would be for high school students and above. The idea of being a senior in high school and the memories that come with it should be the main idea for the intended audience. I assume the values that the readers have is the knowledge of friendship and adventure. The friendship aspect is a major part of my story as every part of the story includes at least one of my friends.

#1- My friends Victoria, Crystal, Hannah and Sam. We were all seniors during that time. Victoria is the outgoing and always trying to help. Crystal is shy yet always making a joke at the right time, Hannah is musically talented and knows where the best places to go for events and food and Sam is the “mom” of the group as she is always organized and has a plan ready to go. We met at the parking lot near our cars after first period. We talked about what the plan was for our senior class skip day and where everyone else was going. We all agreed on the Lori Wilson beach. We got in two of our cars and followed each other to the beach but beforehand we stopped at Publix to get a pub sub. Victoria was driving in her yellow Sahara beach. I could feel the wind in my hair and face as she let the windows down. I could hear her blasting her favorite band, Sublime. I could see our other classmates pulling up in their cars next to us. I feel as though nothing can stop us and we were having so much fun. The sadness of graduation didn’t hover upon us at that moment. Were between the ages of 17-18.
#2- Victoria and I were in the parking lot after school talking before we got in our cars. Victoria is my best friend, she’s outgoing and always trying to help. The most important thing said was our discussion after the pep rally. Victoria told me that we did a great job with our performance. I told her that I was nervous about the football game later that night but still full of adrenaline from the routine. She asked me what time the game was and she said all our other friends would be there. I saw cars in line trying to head out the school gates and as we kept talking we were one of the few cars in the empty parking lot. I heard other students talking and engines of cars turning on. I also heard my heart still beating loud in my head after the routine. I felt nervous and happy at the same time, it was a unique feeling that I will never forget. I was 17 when I had my first pep rally/game day, a junior in high school.
#3- There was two people there Victoria and I. Victoria is my best friend, she’s outgoing. We said we would meet at 7/11 after school in celebration of early release at 2:15. We met in the lot after school and followed each other in our cars to the nearest 7-11. I heard the other students in the parking lot after school and I heard my friend Melissa yell across the way saying “hi” after she saw me. I see Victoria rummaging through her car trunk trying to find her wallet. I think about what flavor slushies they have. We first started going to 7/11 when we both had cars, which was out junior and senior year.
