Discuss ONE of the genres you plan to create.- One of the genres I plan to create is informative.
How does this genre further the message of your research paper?- This genre furthers the message of my research paper by helping me identify key elements of my paper that I can talk about to others and possibly further their education on my topic or help someone form a more in depth opinion about the topic of women in sports related jobs today.
What rhetorical appeals will you be using?- The rhetorical appeal I will be using is pathos. I believe it is important for any piece of literary work to be able to resonate emotionally with the readers- big or small. Within my project I want my audience to realize that the topic of women in sports jobs can include any job. The issues within the work place does not pick an chose within the career path, it can be seen anywhere. The hilight of my project would be recognizing the significant impact women have made so far and how it impacts the sport industry today.
How does the audience of this genre different from that of your research paper?- The audience of this genre was just my teacher reading over the paper but now my audience will be the students in class. They can see it differently and can also share it with others outside the class.
What is one alternate genre you could create in its place?- One alternate genre I can use in place is narrative. Narrative allows me to focus on the interview aspect of the project and the story telling.
In talking about the steps to assemble a multigenre project the BBG says that you should sequence your genre pieces. Summarize this section and then explain how you will seuqnece your three genres.- The passage explains sequencing the genre pieces in a way that will make sense to the audience and the purpose of your project. It all depends on your end goal. The sequence changes if you want to persuade, compare and contrast, tell a story or emphasize a rhetorical appeal.
